The LGBT community is celebrating the 40th anniversary of Pride in DC this month. 1. Downtown DC Location Opens!
We’ve been gone for a minute, now we’re back! Our Downtown DC location at the Martin Luther King Jr. Memorial Library will reopen Saturday, May 23! Now it’s even more convenient to rent a bike from us for the day! It’s just blocks away from the Grand Hyatt, Hotel Monaco, Ford’s Theatre, the Convention Center, and countless other places, convenient for visitors and locals alike.
DC is finally warming up! With great weather comes plenty of great events, particularly outdoor events, to enjoy around the city. Trade in your Uggs for Sperrys and have a blast in the greatest city on Earth*.
1. Around the World Embassy Tour
This annual event is a celebration of international cuisine. Embassies around the city join with artists, artisans, performers, teachers, and more to showcase culture from around the world. More than 40 embassies will open their doors on May 2from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. The best part? Admission is FREE.

1. National Cherry Blossom Festival
One of the biggest annual celebrations in DC is going on now through April 12. Check out festival details and events. Peak bloom of the cherry blossoms is predicted to be April 11-14, but that could change depending on the weather. Don’t miss the Southwest Waterfront Fireworks Festival on April 4!
Even if you never could figure out how to pronounce it correctly (or spell it…), February is certainly something to celebrate. The month of love is filled to the brim with great events, festivals, and things to do— especially if you’re lucky enough to call DC home!
