According to WMATA, “Hundreds of thousands of people are expected to attend events during the Papal visit, which will likely result in crowding and delays on trains and buses, and could produce near Inauguration ridership levels at selected stations.” Although all modes of transportation during the Pope’s visit will pose some challenges, experts agree that biking is the best way to get around. 1. Downtown DC Location Opens!
We’ve been gone for a minute, now we’re back! Our Downtown DC location at the Martin Luther King Jr. Memorial Library will reopen Saturday, May 23! Now it’s even more convenient to rent a bike from us for the day! It’s just blocks away from the Grand Hyatt, Hotel Monaco, Ford’s Theatre, the Convention Center, and countless other places, convenient for visitors and locals alike.
DC is finally warming up! With great weather comes plenty of great events, particularly outdoor events, to enjoy around the city. Trade in your Uggs for Sperrys and have a blast in the greatest city on Earth*.
This annual event is a celebration of international cuisine. Embassies around the city join with artists, artisans, performers, teachers, and more to showcase culture from around the world. More than 40 embassies will open their doors on May 2from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. The best part? Admission is FREE.
