Bike and Roll DC’s “Christmas on Wheels” Bicycle and Segway Tours begin December 5th and we can hardly wait!
One of our favorite stops on the tour is the Capitol Christmas tree. This year, the Capitol Christmas tree is a Noble fir from Willamette National Forest in Oregon.
The 75-foot-tall tree will be lit on December 5th at 5 p.m. by the speaker of the House and will be decorated with handmade ornaments from people who live in Oregon.

We here at Bike and Roll are firm believers you should not have to break the bank to buy a high quality bicycle. Our goal is to get as many people on bikes as possible. We know buying a new bike is a daunting process. There are limitless options and many of us are faced with budgetary restraints.
Whether you are a daily commuter or just looking to start the sport, our End of Season Sale will have a great option for you. Bicycle riding should be affordable and accessible to everyone and we want to ensure that happens. No matter your body size or your budget, we have the bike for you!
If you are wondering how we can perform such magic, it’s through the sale of our expertly maintained fleet. While a common misconception has formed that when buying a used bike you will have to compromise on quality, that is not the case with our bikes. Our expertly maintained fleet has been sustained by professional mechanics and tuned up for the sale. Our mechanics take pride in their work, ensuring all bikes are up to standard.
Please do not take our word for it. Come to our End of Season Sale on Saturday, November 3 from 11:00 AM to 3:00 PM and find out for yourself. If you have any questions about the bikes or the sale email [email protected]

Announcing Bike and Roll DC’s 3rd Annual Christmas on Wheels Tour!
Bike and Roll DC will again be offering Washington’s only Christmas tour by bike and Segway, aptly named “Christmas on Wheels,” the tour and rental company announced today. Christmas on Wheels will be offered every Saturday and Sunday beginning December 2nd through December 17th. Tour highlights include the holiday showcase at the U.S. Botanic Garden, the U.S. Capitol Christmas Tree, hotel and Embassy decorations, the National Christmas Tree, festive treats and more!
“For fifteen seasons, Bike and Roll DC has provided Washington visitors and locals alike with one of the most unique ways to experience the city’s profound history, culture and beauty,” said Stephen Marks, Managing Member of Bike and Roll DC. “We are very excited to continue the tradition of showcasing our nation’s capital at its most magical with our third annual Christmas on Wheels tour. This is the only tour of its kind in Washington and we can’t wait to help deliver the spirit of the season to even more people this year!”
Similar to Bike and Roll’s signature “Monuments” and “Capital Sites” tours, Christmas on Wheels will be led by professionally trained guides and filled with historical anecdotes—of the festive variety—as riders arrive at each tour stop. Families and children of all ages are welcome on the bike tour, trailer tandems and Burleys are available for younger children. Riders must be 16 for the Segway tour. Guests will have multiple photo opportunities throughout the tour. Complimentary water and festive end of tour treats will also be provided.

- The cost for the bike tour is $39 for adults and $34 for children 12 and under and $64 per person for the Segway tour.

Celebrating 8 Years of Bike and Roll DC-Union Station!
8 years ago this week, our Union Station location opened it’s proverbial glass helmet to the public! Since that fateful October day in 2009, we’ve rented countless bikes to visitors from near and far, been a go-to repair and service shop for the #BIKEDC community…and added lots of Five Star Fun to one of the country’s biggest train stations.
In celebration of 8 wheely great years, we’re running an anniversary special all October long! Receive $8 off full-day bike rentals and $2 off hourly rentals through October 31st. Use the code “UNION8” when reserving a bike online, for walk-up rentals, mention the code in person.
